Project: Automating Finance Reports
Scenario: Our main data is SAP ECC
Challenge #1: We can't get direct access to SAP DB
Workaround: Download SAP Reports (meaning the data is already somewhat joined already) which is also the current manual process of Finance
Challenge #2: Finance do extreme manual modification. Adding fields/calculations that are not from SAP.
Question #1: Should I built a DV using SAP Reports as Data Source? Drawback, figures will not be the same with Finance (due to manual modifications).
Question #2: Should I just use the final report from Finance and build their reports without a DV? Figures will be aligned. However, release takes a month.
