How to justify DV to management?

This is the biggest question I always get from the community.  My friend Neil Strange (also a member of this community) actually presents on this topic (or has) for the past 3 years (2016, 2017, 2018).  In 2019 he presented a different topic.  Here are my thoughts on the topic, feel free to chime in and reply with your own ideas.

  1. 1. NEVER SELL DATA VAULT!!! always always focus on talking about business problems, and applying an agile methodology to solving these issues
  2. Sell the values of Data Vault without mentioning Data Vault itself, again talk about agility, repeatability, scalability, parallel teams, language standards, consistent ways of working, rapid turn around, and so on.
  3. Shoot for a prototype.  We can and often do construct a two week "kick start": 3 days of CDVP2 training + 7 working days of build process.  We can help you get off the ground with a solution you can build on top of when we are finished.  Inside of 2 weeks we can prove the success.
